WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY

Virtual Open House
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. The entire staff looks forward to having a wonderful year together. We understand the need for consistency to keep children focused along with the need for a learning routine to support academic success. We appreciate your help the first two days of school with getting your child to school on time and sending them in with all their supplies. We also thank you for your patience while the schoolyard is getting a makeover and know that the students are anxious to see and utilize the finished product. We are hoping the school yard may reopen soon.
Beginning Monday, September 12, the back gates will open at 7:50 am. All students in grades K-5 will enter through the back gates. Students in grades K-2 will sit in their designated seats in the theater and grades 3-5 will go to the cafeteria for breakfast. Students in grades K-2 will have breakfast in their classroom. The school day starts at 8:20 am and it is imperative that your child arrives to prior to 8:20 am in order to not lose any instructional time. Late students need to be signed by an adult and enter through the front entrance. Dismissal is at 2:35 pm. Kindergarteners will be dismissed from their classroom doors. Grades 1 and 2 dismiss from the schoolyard, grade 3 dismisses on the corner of 89th and 4th, and grades 4 and 5 will be dismissed from the door on 89th closest to 3rd Ave. Students in grades 4 and 5 will be allowed to walk home alone if indicated on the blue card. No student will be released to anyone not on the blue card or anyone under the age of 18.
Please join us September 15th from 4:30 to 7:00 pm for Welcome Back to School Night. To ensure all parents are able to attend, we will be having a virtual meeting. Additional information is forthcoming.
Do not forget to join our Facebook page. You must answer all three questions in order to be approved. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to support and work with all families.
Thank you,
Ms. Bolognino
Principal
